Hi,

Could anyone know how long time the family sponsorship for spouse usually takes from the sending of application until getting the permanent residents status if spouse is outside of Canada.

Thank you!

13 months is not long, it's typical for most countries. You can have it done in less than 13 months if your application is strong.

Inland, IMO, is a terrible choice because you cannot appeal if they refuse you.

No appeal rights, and also slower than outland (first stage approval is currently 11 months, and then another 8 months for PR processing). And of course, your spouse would have to be living with you here in Canada to use the inland option. However, the spouse can get an open work permit upon first stage approval.
