Family Sponsorship or Visitor Visa?!

Hello,

I'm a permanent resident in Canada, and I want to bring my family(wife and child) to live with me. Which is faster and easier to apply for family sponsorship while they're not in Canada or to bring them on Visitor Visas and then apply for family sponsorship while they're here?

My wife isn't working, is that a concern for visitor visa approval?

When I applied for FSWO I stated that my wife and child aren't accompanying, they're included in my PR application as not accompanying members. Is there any conflict to apply to sponsor them now?

Thanks,

I think you should talk to a Lawyer. My guess is that sure you can try to apply 4 your family overseas as long as you have a good supporting income for all of you {+20%} as I heard on a radio talk show today.. But no conflict should happen. "NOT accompanying" should not be an obstacle at all. And let's expect senior members to reply here as they check forums often GOOD LUCK :)

They are unlikely to get a visitor visa because they don't have strong ties to their home country. You can try of course but most likely you will ned to do an outland spousal sponsorship. You can do it on your own. It will take approximately a year. You'll have to remain in Canada while the sponsorship is processed. Short visits outside Canada seem be overlooked.
