Hello I am sponsoring my husband to come to canada on Aug 31 I received an email from IRCC that my husband application is now in the visa office in lebanon.
We applied Feb 27 2017 they started processing the application on March 6, 2017

PRA status:In Process
Schedule A March 11, 2017 Requested
Schedule A March 19, 2017 send it through the webform
Medical Exam Requested April 11, 2017
Medical Exam done April 18, 2017
Medical Exam Passed April 27, 2017
Medical Exam Forwaded to responsible Office May 29, 2017
ECAS :In Process September 5, 2017
How long do we have to wait until we hear back from the visa office in lebanon

AOR2 is when they sent you an email that they received your application in Beirut.
I'm still waiting for them to reply!

If it's of any help, here is our timeline. However, we applied 2 years ago when the process was much slower, so your application might be processed differently.

Application sent: September 10 2015
AOR 1 : September 21 2015
AOR 2 : September 24 2015
Medical done: August 18 2015
Request for police certificate and additional information form: April 21 2016
Security started: April 22 2016
Medical renewed: August 18 2016
Medical request: August 24 2017
Medical done: August 25 2017
Passport request: September 11 2017
Visa and COPR issued: September 13 2017

I applied for my husband on July 19th 2016. He had his interview March 6 2017 and he handed in his updated clearances as requested but March 16th. Was told someone would contact him within 30 days. It's been over six months and we haven't heard anything back yet. So stress and nobody will give us an update. I can't even log into the CIC site half the time. I haven't had an update I'm their system since September when they received the medical

Yes the process is not transparent at all ! The wait is so frustrating! We are so stressed too! It's crazy how they keep the couples apart!
