Hi,

Could someone please provide some advise on this scenario? The CAIPS report says, my wives request has been denied for 3 reasons,

1. Length of proposed stay
2. Current employment situation (No duration mentioned in leave letter)
3. Personal assets and financial status

Notes section description:
  • That my wife and x year old son wants to visit me for 2 months. But no mention of period in leave letter. They were not satisfied that PA(my wife) is continuously employed. Weird, she works for a reputed company. ??? ???
  • Also, I have low balance in my account here. I am only a student :-[ :-[
  • The thing the worries me most now... After this it says, Host in Canada's (Blank Blank) and few ties to home country.  CENSORED text in CAIPS

They have blanked out certain text. I do not understand why they should do that. One of the problem factor is that my visa is pending expiry in almost 6 months. But I am a full time Masters student and it should have obvious to the immigration that I would extend it and God willingly also have my Post graduate Work Permit. Besides this another complication -> we have received our CSQ and have applied for PR in the meanwhile. :'( :'(

Have anyone had CAIPS reports censored like this? ??? ??? If yes, what are the possible reasons. What do you suggest other than the obvious (reasons above) for such a scenario?

Thanks a TON!!!

1 and 2. Is it so easy to get 2 months of leave at that company? Is it written in the letter from the company that they expect her to come back?
Is the visit is planned to be during school summer break ONLY? Did you write a cover letter to CIC explaining what you are going to show them in Canada, like some attractions, trips, meeting friends or relatives?
3. Do you have enough money for their stay and trips around for 2 months? To buy they round trip tickets?

Your application for PR has nothing to do with this rejection. What your wife has to show CIC is that she has ties in you homeland stronger than a husband is Canada :) to return home after the visit to wait till the end of procees of getting PR.

Hi Regina,

Thank you for the heads up. Very true about leave on first look. But, it is possible to obtain a leave without pay in some companies for 2 months. Well, with hints of recessions, perhaps not the best of time, I agree. But nonetheless, it is possible, atleast...that was our plan. The financial factor showed enough for 2 months of stay from what I spend :-\ (including buffers for unexcepted situations for 2 months).

But as you hinted, it did not show assets to tie her back to home country. We will definitely keep this in mind when we re-apply. Thank you for your advise. MUCH APPRECIATED!! :D :D
