Has anyone applied for Family Sponorship through Guatemala City? I need feedback as to realistic processing times if all paperwork is complete and the process goes smoothly. THX

We are just in the process of applying. The application will be submitted soon. Just trying to get a feel for the process as everyone assures me that it is 16-19 months from start to finish. Need to know so I can help my kids.

Hi Ellen, its 7 to 16 months, right now my hubby's is at 5 months, we also have 2 kids, and its very hard, here is my timeline, good luck!!!!!!! :

Nov 07: application sent to CIC-M
Dec 07: spoponsorship approved, file sent to Guatemala
March 08: Guatemala opens file, file immigration number sent
July08: Email sent, hubby on queue for an interview, to bring passport, $400 money order (ARC), and a couple of other documents.

If it helps, we sent ours in august of 2009, sponsorship approved aug 2009, they started processing his application sept 2009, asked to send the passport and police check on jan 2010 and its now august again and we havent heard from them since january , keep us updated on yours please!
