First of all, thank you for reading this...

I need advice regarding my sponsorship for my parents.

The following describes my situation:

* When I was 28 yrs old, I came to Canada as permanent resident July 2004. After a year, I invited my mom for a visit in Toronto.

* In Dec 2006, I decided to apply to sponsor my Mom. When I filed my application it was only my mom's name was included. However, as the time goes and under certain circumstances, we decided that the rest of the family (father, brother and 2 sisters) should join her.

* Some time in 2007, I faxed my corrected application to the immigration including the name of my father and all in the non-accompanying member portion.

* My question is what would be the best thing for me to do in this situation? I understand the importance of financial support and I admit that only one person that I can support at the moment but if I joined my money and my family's, it will be good enough to sustain our life here.

* We decided that the rest of the family should join my mom in this application.

* What should I do? I want them all here and I'm about to receive response/interview from the immigration anytime soon.

Details about my family:
Mom - 63 yrs - profession (teacher)
Dad- 73 yrs - profession (retired seaman)
Sis 1 - 24 yrs - profession (Electronic Comm Engr 3 yrs exp)
Sis 2 - 21 yrs - profession (Nurse 6mos-1 yr exp)
Bro - 17 yrs - student (Automotive Tech)

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

P.S.
If you've been in this situation, what to expect during the interview or the next step?
What do I need to prepare?

Many thanks.

You can sponsor your parents provided if you meet the minimum salary requirements. However, you cannot sponsor your siblings unless you are in AB, SK. Probably a couple of add in this list.

Your siblings can only be sponsored by your parents, once they have become PR, or you can use much shorter route (as mentioned above). Currently, I believe if you lived in SK and one year work experience (while working in SK), you can sponsor your siblings, provided meeting financial requirements.

Sis 1 - 24 yrs - profession (Electronic Comm Engr 3 yrs exp) - she needs to apply under FSW category if meeting the requirements

Sis 2 - 21 yrs - profession (Nurse 6mos-1 yr exp) - she needs to apply under FSW category if meeting the requirements

Bro - 17 yrs - student (Automotive Tech) - Your parents can sponsor them at later stage or yourself if in SK or AB

The kids who are under age 22 at the time of application can come with the parents as their dependents but it takes a long time to sponsor parents. 3 years easily. The oldest one can either apply himself or if you are living in SK, AB or MB, you can sponsor him under family support stream under PNP. See the PNP programs at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-who.asp There will be limits on how many people you can sponsor on your income. It would be easy for the 21 yo. sister to immigrate as a nurse so if you are short of money, maybe it's better that she does it herself.

The parents will not be able to sponsor the older kids later when they become PR unless the parents are living in AB, MB or SK. The oldest is not dependent anymore and the 2nd will not be anymore when they get PR so they can not be sponsored by the parents under the federal system.

Hi

Maybe you should find a help to California Orange County Lawyer to help you solve your problem about your family.

And just what good would hiring a US attorney living in California in applying for Canadian Immigration? Suggest you move your spam to a US Immigration forum.
