Hello everyone!
Can somebody help me and advice me what to do I came here in Canada as a permanent resident sponsored by my ex canadian husband. We are now divorced. I want to sponsor my only son who is in the philippines 7 y.o and my sister to accompany him coming here and to help me watch over him while I go work. I am alone here in canada no family nor relatives. My parents doesnt want to live here in canada they are both farmers and they dont like snow. Maybe just visit but not living with me and help me. Thats why I decided to bring my son and my sister.. I also have a brother who lives in UK has a wife with two kids.
Here's my question
1. Can I bring together with separate application my son and my sister under family class? I will send the application together.
2. Do I need to make an application for my brother and wife and kids?
3.My sister has two kids but they are not accompanying do I still have to pay even though they are not accompanying?
4. If I will include my bother, his wife and kids even though all of them are non accompanying do I still have to pay each of them too?

Appreciates for the help :) :)

Assuming you still have PR status after your divorce, you can sponsor your son (if he is a dependant, meaning under 19 and not married), but you cannot sponsor your brother or sister. You can only sponsor a brother or sister if you don't have children or parents or spouse who are still alive. Since you have a son, and both parents are still alive, you cannot sponsor your brother or sister to come to Canada. You could sponsor your parents, but you already mentioned they aren't interested.

When your ex-husband sponsored you, did you declare your son as non-accompanying on the original application?

You can't sponsor your sister or brother as having a minor child and living parents anywhere in the world disqualifies you. There is no exception to this. If she wants to immigrate to Canada she would need to do so independently if she qualified for any existing immigration programs.

For your son, you can only sponsor him if he was declared as a non-accompanying dependent and did a medical exam for your own PR application when sponsored by your ex-husband.
Or, if your son was born outside Canada after you were already a PR.

when I was sponsored by my ex husband m son was included as non accompanying we both went to medical and passed, because my son is non accompanying he has only 1 year to comply. After one year he will go for medical if he still don't come to canada. I got separated and leaving in a shelter house my break up with my ex husband is a tradegy. Now its been 4 years my son didnt go to any medical and I dont know if his application is there or lost. I still have his UCI no.

As your son was included in your original application, you can sponsor him. He will need to have a new medical done.

Yes it will be a brand new application, and he will need to do medical exam again.

You can find application package here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp
