Greetings everybody.
I sponsor immigration of my parents who live in Russia.
June, 2006 Submitted Application and Fees To Sponsor a Member of the Family Class
Feb, 2009 Received a letter from Embassy of Canada in Moscow confirming creation of the file
Feb, 2010 Paid visa fees.
Oct, 2010 An agent from Embassy of Canada in Moscow called my parents and informed them that the sponsor (me) didn't pay the requested "Right of Permanent Residence Fee" and they (the Embassy) cannot contact me (sponsor). Nonsense. I paid all the fees and submitted all docs as requested and on time. Have all the supporting docs. My address is always up-to-date on the CIC online account.
Since that I spoke to the CIC Case Processing Center here in Canada and didn't get any help except an advice to sent copies of the documents/receipts to the Embassy. Sent copies of the documents to Moscow. Never got a reply. Calling Moscow is useless - they never answer.
The case is stuck at this stage. All the documents submitted, medical exams passed, fees paid long ago. My case is over 5 years old now and sits in Moscow for more than 2 years. I'm a Canadian citizen and live in Canada for almost 15 years. My children have grown up here and my grand children have been born here.
I would appreciate an advice on what steps should I take at this point.
