I filled out and submitted the form - interested in sponsoring parents on behalf of my wife's parents.
I have been selected to sponsor them, however the letter that I got it from IRCC, last Saturday states that "Invitation is not transferable, for example you cannot use the invitation to sponsor your spouse's parents?
I am now confused, I filled it out after I spoke to the Agent from IRCC, he advised me to put my name on the application as my wife is unemployed and I will be the co-signer.

If anyone is going through the similar situation. Can someone please advice.

Thanks,
Rivan

Agent told you wrong, although, had you read through the application instruction, you wouldn't even had to ask IRCC and know which name to put on the ballot....

You cannot apply for your in-laws, only your wife can.
You should have entered with your wife's name, instead of yours. Doesn't matter if your wife has no job, as long as you sign in as co-signer and total house hold income is over minimum income requirement.

As said above, you can't sponsor your in-laws. You wife was the one who needed to submit the interest form and you could have co-signed.

IRCC call centre agents are famous for giving out wrong info. Yet another example here.
Unfortunately you must try again next year, this time with your wife being the one to submit lottery form.
