I have received my PPR today and unfortunately my Family is in India. Moreover, my Kids doesn't have a valid visa to travel to Canada immediately. We have already applied for the dependent visa (3 weeks back) but we didn't hear back anything from visa office in India. I believe it might take atleast 2weeks for my kids to get the dependent visa stamped. However, we have only 30 days to send our passports to Ottawa office.

I have 3 options -
1. Forward the PPR email to Canada Visa office in India to expedite my kids visa process
2. Write to Ottawa office to extend the timelines? (Will CIC consider this as a valid case to extend the timelines or will they even extend the timelines??)
3. Wait for Kids passport for 10more days and then write an email to both the offices.

It would be grateful if someone suggest me in this regards?

Is anyone been there in this situation before? (or heard something similar)

CIC may take long time to reply. So the first of all, you should contact CPC- Ottawa asap, ask them to change the VO so your family can submit their passport in India, and also ask them to extend the deadline too (I think they extend it anyway when they re-issue the new email at your LVO).

For the dependent visa, you don't need it right? since all of you will get the immigrant visa to enter Canada? then you can ignore it... I'm not sure about this.
