family name/given names

In the Generic Application form for Canada (IMM 0008), under personal details where we have to give our name, there is space for Full name and Given names which have to be given exactly as per your passport. In my passport my full name is written under Given names and the surname/ family name is left blank.
My question is that how should i go about filling up the form? Since my form is not validated when I write my name under given name and leave the Family name blank.
Plz advise.

But your given name must have two parts to it, isn't it ? One of them will be your family name in effect, although not written under family name column in the passport.

How do you fill your name in other places (forms that one fills in usual life outside CIC), because everywhere one has to write these two parts (given and family). Just write the same way you do elsewhere.

My advise will be to fill the form with the family name and given name in the fields separately.

Then get a sworn affidavit suggesting the discrepancy in your Full Name and Given Name/Family Name in the Passport.
