Hi All

skilled worker immigration application form requires family members details to be furnished in it. It also says, only spouce and dependent children. Now my doubt is, brothers , sistes, and parents details need not be mentioned...?

I have a brother and parents. However, nobody is accompanying me to Canada. I’m the principal and the only applicant. Do I need to mention their details?

request your kind response.

Thanks

1. Only your immediate family i.e. Spouse & Children can be mentioned on your application as "dependents" and can travel with you.

2. Your parents & siblings cannot travel with your as they are not your "dependents" please check if you have a form IMM 5046 entitled "Additional Family Information" If this form is not included in your application you may not have to provide this information.

The IMM 5406 has to be completed by everyone applying over the age of 18 it is in every application package.

well as far as i know IMM 5046 is needed to be filled by every applicant , but if ur using regular process(applying by Buffalo)u ve to fill the form at the time of application. But if ur using SAP , for applicants outside US n Canada, then u ve to fill up Only the Basic application form,IMM008,and the form abt other family members ll be requested to be filled by u later.but in both cases u shd mention details of ur parents , brother etc otherwise u ll never be able to sponsor them , after gaining ur per residency.hope this helps.
