It's not mandatory for an online application. But still in general it is preferred that FOR THIS FORM only, you print, sign and scan back the signed version.Nicolle said:
Though many people do not follow this and do get through without signatures. It is just a safer options that lawyers would suggest when you are very nit pick about application. For a paper based application, a missing sign means - application returned unprocessed being incomplete.
