Family class sponsorship Processing time

Hello everyone,
Me and my family had our interview at canadian high commission in islamabad about two years ago, then we had our medical, because of adding new family member it took very long for us, and about one month ago we were asked by embassy for everyone's photo, and about 13 days ago our sponsor told me the application went through and approved, after that no news from embassy, any idea what are those photos for? What is the next step and how long we wait or should i send them an email asking for update?

They've been asking you for stuff recently means that things are being worked upon on your case. Also if you check the processing times on the CIC website, they are trying to speed up all the old and new applications. So don't worry, its a waiting game. It will all get sorted out in 2017. Don't worry
