Hello,

I am almost done the paperwork for my husbands sponsorship and I have a couple of questions/concerns if anyone can please help me I would be soo grateful. I sent an email to the embassy but they have not responded and I want to get this package out because I have read that it can take up to 11 months, and I really want to go back to my country with my family!

We are living in Italy and if I read correctly there are only three doctors that can do the medical exam for my husband (2 in Milano and 1 in Rome) How does this work? Do we go to Rome before handing in all the paperwork and do the exam or does the embassy send you a document when you are supposed to go?...all I know is that the visit costs 250 euros...AHHHHHH!

2. Does anyone know where or how I can get all the certificates translated to english from here? Can i do it and have it certified by someone? If so, who? is there a list? and does anyone know the costs?

Thank You Very Very Much. This seems to be the only place I can get information regarding this process which is soo difficult when its done from outside of Canada. Thank you Again!

Hello!

About the medicals, you just take this meeting with the doctor in Rome or Milano and he/she will gide you, usualy they send the results to the Candian Embassy on his area, (Rome for exemple in your case).

As for the translated documents, certified documents all the information you need the Canadian Embassy(if you are Canadian citizen) the Embassy must have a list with the acreddited persones or lawers who dose that, certifiy and translate papers and they could gide you as well.

I did all the papers outside of my country as well and my Embassy give me all the informations I needed.

Also you have here the CIC site, a lot of information you need: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp

Good luck! :)

Thank You I will call the doctors office again. I just wish the Embassy would answer the phone or answer the emails......

Sorry about that, my Embassy it never answered at my emails as well, I had to go there.

Also I forgot to add earyer, I certified all my ID copies at the Embassy (birth certificate, ID card, passport) it cost me 30 euros by page and the medicals it cost me 150 euros, I did everything in Paris, I used to live there at that time, July last year.

I also had a divorce paper which I have made translated by a accredited lawer by the Embassy.

Best of luck!

Thank you so much.
