Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Good evening,

I want to reach out to someone who has the same issue as mine. I am divorce by Canadian law, and trying to bring my daughter here. I was once in a common law relationship before I got my permanent residency papers. Now I am single, do I still need to include my undertakings with my ex? What supporting documents do I need to obtain. I remember going to a paralegal services to declare my common law relationship, do i have to do the same?

Any response would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

How did you get permanent residency? Did you sponsor your spouse? When were you in a common law relationship did you sponsor your common law?

So did you sponsored your common law partner? (This is different from applying for PR together as common-law spouse.)

If you did, how many years had your ex landed as PR? If it's less than 3 years, then you need to count your ex.

I believe that you have included your daughter as non-accompanying in your initial PR application, correct?

You've gotta be patient. Most of us are from the east coast and it's currently midnight. Nobody gets paid to sit on the forum to answer questions. Try in the morning if you don't get any answers tonight.

Thanks for your response.

Hello Canuck78,

Thanks for responding. I got my permanent residency through Self-Nomination. I am divorced before I filed for my residency. Yes, I did sponsor my ex- common law. He got his residency same time as I did.

YVR123,

Thanks for your response. Okay, hang on. I think I got this information mixed up. I applied my ex common as part of my PR application, my application was half way through when I decided to add him on my paper.

Yes, I have added my daughter as non-accompanying on my application.

You didn't sponsor your ex, so no undertaking.
