I don't know about that... They have recently announced that new rule and CIC website would still be the primary source for the communication to applicants. So when they say, they are working on sep 2007 applications, they aren't bsing.
Do you really think they cut the timeline by 2 years in 1 month? They got my vote, if they did. ;D

It's been all over the news. http://gands.com/uncategorized/government-of-canada-to-take-immediate-action-to-cut-backlog-and-wait-times-for-family-reunification/

That's the IMM 5669 - Schedule A. But they don't have to provide proof of that for this type of application.

yes it's on the document list

Yes. we all know that but you missed my point .....They can not cut the time line by 2 years between Nov 5th and Nov 25th.... And whatever timeline they are working will be shown on CIC website so don't through that out of. It just means that they will expedite in next 2 years to catch up. ::)

they are looking for the photos for applicants + dependents. Your parents are applicants - you need to submit their photos. If there are any other dependents on the file - they also need to submit photos.

they ask for photos, but they say Supply 2 photos of each member of your family and yourself. Follow the instructions providet in the section How to Complete the Forms, of the application and guide in Appendix A: Photo Specifications.
are thes epassport size photos or any photo, what about the medical, do they have to do it now, or wait till they ask?

also is it recomented to do the medical now, or should they wait longer for it?

i don't think the parents can do the medical now... you need to be approved as a sponsor and then the papers for medical will be send to your parents...

photo specifications are at cic web site in the guide - appendix A...

Any of you who received letter from CPC M regarding parents application, was there any Visa Officeer's initial on the letter and return mailing label?

no initials
no label

Thanks for the quick reply.
I received letter with a mailing label and VO's initial written with red ink.
My parents application is already in Singapore and medical is done. I need to fill out the financial evaluation form and sponsorship agreement again as I moved from Quebec to ON.

My brother got the letter, too. My mom and I are super excited because we were expecting to have news only in 2012. He also has to fill loads of paperwork, but he decided to get a representative so things would go smooth.

They say it's better if we get the PCC to fasten up the process, so I guess we'll start getting it asap, then what's going to be left is the medical check-up, right? This is all very confusing because as far as I know, we only had to get the PCC and the medical together when the embassy contacted us in our country. So I guess they really are up to speed everything up! That's great news :)

i think they sent letters not to speed up the process but to get all information so they can cross- reference when parents apply for super visa and they do not have to work on the same thing twice

I have sent the requested documents to CPC-M last week and it was received by them this Monday.
Does anyone know how long it will take for them to update the system or to work on it? I am just worried that if it takes too long then my parents medical will expire.
