Hello everyone!

My partner and I are in the process of finalizing our common-law application, however near the end of the Guide 3900 after the portion about mailing the application, it states the following:

"Sign the form
The application must be signed and dated before it is submitted.
Note: If your application is not signed and dated, it will be returned to you."

I don't really understand what it's asking. The document checklist doesn't have anywhere to sign... and we already signed all of the forms required prior in the guide (both Sponsor and Applicant). What exactly is it wanting me to sign? Is it just wanting me to confirm that all documents have been signed? Or what else am I missing here?

See the following guide, under "Step 4. Submit the Application":

Guide 3900 - Sponsorship of a spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner or dependent child living outside Canada

Hi

It's just a reminder to sign all of the forms as required, not the checklist.

OK, Thanks for the response. They really should make it more clear, in fact I could say that for most things in the guide...
