I am a permanent resident working in Canada. We got married last month in India and I would like to bring my wife here.
I have heard that spouse PR takes about 6-7 months (although it is mentioned 12 months on the website). Can someone please confirm this?
Also, the most important thing is, I would like to bring my wife here asap. Waiting for 12 months is really a long time! Can I apply for her visitor visa in the mean time so she can come visit?
Has anyone did this?
We are getting stressed and would really appreciate any response on this as we haven't applied anything yet... :'(
Please suggest what should we apply first. visitor visa or spouse PR?
