Family Business - Apply EE

Hi All,

Could you pls help to advise my case:

My wife is holding student permit, I am holding OWP. My wife family in Canada having a small facial and nails business, I will appoint a position eg: accountant or any position what is in NOC O,A,B. Can I use this job to apply EE or CEC? or any potential opportunity for myself to apply PR based on my wife family business.

Only if the business does an LMIA to hire you. I wouldn't be surprised if there are issues if you can't show qualifications for what position they create for you.

Yes they can hire you and give you all pay stubs, T4 and you can use that job to apply EE if you can satisfy other requirements like education, age, language etc

Thanks a lot of for your help. As my understanding, I have two option with EE:

Option 1: FSW - EE, my family business need get a approved LMIA and send a job offer to me.

Option 2: CEC - EE, I work for them and get pay stubs and T4 after a year apply CEC - EE

Can you correct if I am wrong?

Hey there, just had a query: i got trained at my fathers business and was paid a small fee per month that took care of my travel for the university years. Do you think i can use this time period , which account to 1 year in full time, for express entry additional CRS score points? Thank you so much.
