Lets share our timelines for Non-SDS fall 2022 intakes.

Here is the timeline so far for my brother in law

Application received - February 2nd 2022
Biometrics Letter - February 3rd 2022
Biometrics Completed - February 14th 2022
Medical Request - February 24th 2022

He has a medical scheduled for March 11th 2022. What can we expect after this? Is a medical request a good sign?

I believe the medical request in itself is not necessarily a good sign. It's a step forward towards a complete application. There have been cases of rejected cases after medical request, and there were other cases of approved applications after medical request. Good luck with getting your study permit approved.

My timeline is:

application submitted: January 6th, 2022
BIL: January 7th, 2022
background in progress: January 7th, 2022
biometrics submitted: January 10th, 2022
biometrics completed: February 2nd, 2022
medical started to be reviewed: February 7th, 2022
eligibility review started: February 7th, 2022
medical upfront performed: on February 8th, 2022
medical updated via webform: February 8th, 2022
medical passed: February 11th, 2022

decision: waiting.

got our passport request today! 49 days total, super fast!!
Did you take your medical exam upfront? Also if you don't take upfront medical exam, will it delay the process?

Can you tell me when the Eligiblility review started for him?

Is it true that non-sds processing time is less nowadays compared to sds??

My spouse applied from Chile on March 5, the complete timeline is in my signature. She already has biometrics registered because this is her second application and she does not require medical.

Currently waiting for a decision.

So, did you perform your medicals before getting a medical request?? Could you tell me the procedure?

Yes. I simply went for an upfront medical and on the same day I sent the client information sheet received from the physician through a webform. 3 days later my medicals were updated in my gckey account.

Reading the information in various forums, it appears Non-SDS/regular track is getting faster processing times vs SDS. Would anyone know if submitting a new application via non-SDS/regular track WHILE SDS application is still pending is allowed by the IRCC? Thanks for any insights!
