Did you ever get charged or convicted of a crime in mexico?? Did your Mexican Police report showed any charges or convictions on it?? If yes than you need to provide them with court documents. All they want to make sure that you did not have conviction and the outcome of the case.

Hope that helps

So you got charged in Mexico right??? After the decision is made on the charge(s) the court provides you or your lawyer (If you had one) the details of their decision which includes the court records as well. Thats is what CIC want to see. If you did not get one you should consult the lawyer you had.

P.S If you have any outstanding charge(s) or a conviction you might not be eligible for Canadian Immigration. That all depends on the nature of charge.

Hi,

As I am pretty sure that it was only a day when I was arrested due to illegal immigrant I guess, but it was just for that and when they checked my papers which was in order and correct then they had released me in the same day, as I remembered I had not hired any lawyer,I had shown them my legal papers and then they had released me after the procedure, I do not know what to do further?

Thanks

1. Did u get arrested in Mexico?
2. If they released you without charging than y it shows on your police report?

I don't know how the Mexican court system works. But you need to talk to a good immigration lawyer in Canada.

Unless you can get the court records yourself than no need for a lawyer.

I believe it is more important to find a lawyer in Mexico who can help you with getting the records.

Hello,

I was wondering if I can seek help from anyone in my case. Last time I mentioned it was fighting against time to get the police documents in. Well that matter is sorted out, but now there is another issue.I used to live in an area that was populated with Illegal immigrants in Mexico. I was taken in custody because they thought I was living their illegally. I was released the same day when they discovered that my documentation was legitimate. Unfortunately, that has ended up on the police certificate and CIC is seeking more details which mentioned in to my PCC. I think.

The have asked me to submit the following

Court record / Police report: Provide an original police report or court records pertaining to the charge/conviction(s) listed on your Mexican police certificate.

Court judgment: Court judgment relating to the criminal charge/conviction(s) listed on your Mexican police certificate.

Also, please provide a detailed personal summary of any charge(s)/conviction(s) you may have had while in Mexico.

I was wondering if any one know any good lawyers that can help me or can guide me what my next step should be.

Thank you
