Yup, being wondering about that too actually.
The comments on articles online from the seemingly ordinary Canadian citizen is very unfriendly. I think part of the negativity might be partisan politics fueled. Despite that though, it is concerning. I'm not heading to Canada without a solid plan B to get back again if it turns out to be a hostile, unlivable environment.
However it is possible that the 'haters' are the only ones making a ruckus. I'm just more inclined to believe that if a majority of the country was completely against immigration then news of terrible conditions would be flooding the internet from recent migrants.
Anyways good luck to everyone on their applications. Completed mine yesterday, pretty painless process I thought, now sitting back to see how the show plays out come the 20th (by the way, has it been confirmed that first drawing is on this date?).
