Extra points for siblings??

I think you want to be the part of a country, where the government is non-committal. And you are celebrating that, someday when you get the dose of non-committal, you will realize the pain behind. Forget about sibling issue, they will sooner or later reach Canada. But your intentions are not positive... best of luck in your future.

it is all about priorities when it comes to family reunification, there are poeple waiting since 2010 childrens and spouses. they deserved some kind of hope.
unfortunatly we are the last in line if you check every document you will see that, but they will get there as they are proceeding according to what s stated on the initiative. im in canada and soon become a PR with or without siblings points, dont worry about others , these people will always exist on earth thats why we live in such a complicated world. 0 mention of more points. Also the explore part indicates that by March they will have meetings to discuss how to give siblings points. That would satisfy the "explore". They don't even say here it will be implemented but they have agreed to discuss it.

yep, PNP is the best bet...

i think eventually they will start offering points for canadian siblings, around 15-30... but you cant wait for that day to come... have to act now

I wonder why moderators are so annoyed by sibling points discussion, that they often end up deleting threads to leave no trace of sibling topic. Anyways, the day it gets implemented officially, i will be awaiting for their reactions, specially the critics present in this thread

Greetings!

This thread caught my attention as i have a sibling with Canadian PR. Unfortunately she lives in Ontario. Lost at 388, 5 points deducted last month as well. Narrowly missed CBL 9 so have to re-take IELTS test again. No wonder my other sister here keeps saying i don't listen lol. No worries with IELTS given 4 times so far including Academic once. Gonna prepare for CBL 10. Learning French as well, but trust me, it ain't easy. Bare minimum understanding after level 3 and currently in level 4. Gosh I need some motivation like Federer had yesterday defeating Nadal. Didn't get to see as i have to work. Downloaded the whole match to watch and get some booster.

Few points for having siblings, say, 15-20 points would have been awesome, even 10 would of helped immensely. I will have hope that the discussion takes place by March as my IELTS test is on 4th and they decide on something. Implementing will take many more months i reckon. Wish OINP re-open soon, or maybe after my IELTS score is out. I'm sure the quota will fill up in no time and bam! PAUSED for another year. I wish Ontario brought system like distributing points for having close relative in the province like other provinces. I get the feeling and from resent news Ontario is trying to develop online system for its PNP as well. Ah well! Gonna see what's gonna happen for sure. Definitely get the feeling 2017 is the year, at least for the ITA.
