Hey there. On the actual form it actually limits my wording so I can't fully explain why I want to extend. Is "planning to apply for pr after marriage" good? Should I also have my fiance write a letter and also state we plan to get married AFTER he graduates in April as it's too hectic now? Is that reasonable to ask for time? As for proof of funds, they have asked for bank drafts in convertible currency, proof of student loans etc. Do I need to provide bank drafts, and proof of HIS student loans and tax? Since I don't have any as I'm just a visitor, and never came here as a student. As well as for money, we have provided mortgage slips and such to prove we live in his mothers house. Should we get other proof too to prove we do not pay rent?

if there isn't enough room, then use a separate sheet of paper for your explanation and note it in the application.

yes, it is reasonable to ask for a certain amount of time - it's usually recommended to ask for at least 12 months, so i would ask for 12 months, not just through your wedding date. when you ask for more, you're more likely to get more.

they want to see how you plan to support yourself while there as a visitor, so you need to submit information that shows he will be able to support you. that can be bank statements, proof of loans, paystubs, etc. whatever money you plan to use to support yourself (yours or his) is what they want included.

No, you don't need bank drafts or his student loan documents. These are just some of the possible proofs that can be submitted. As previously advised, include the payslips and bank statements.

Skip the mortgage slips. They prove nothing. Have his mother write a letter stating that she is providing you with rent-free accommodation.

Okay. So I just need to write a letter for her (she will know what will be on it) and all I have to do is have her sign her name and signature? Is there anything she needs to provide for proof? We only have one single payslip from him but it includes how much he was paid before, as well as a statement showing how much he has (11 thousand in savings for months) which should be a good amount as we don't pay rent. Other than those two, a letter from his mother and a letter from him saying he will support me fully as well as accommodation being free, am I all set? I'm just very worried I'll be denied and want to make sure I have as much proof as I can get.

Yes, bank statements, payslips, mother's letter, partner's letter. As I advised before, you should also pay the PR fees and include that receipt.

We currently do not have 1000 to pay outright as we are saving for some clothes and duvet for our room. So we can't pay for pr fees for now. Will that still be okay?

You did state that your partner has $11 000 in savings. It would be more beneficial to use some of it to pay the fees than to have it in the bank account.

You can pay the $75 Sponsor fee and $475 Principal Applicant fee and hold off on paying the $490 RPRF.

I currently can't find anywhere to pay for pr before we even start the application. How long will this payment last? Until I apply, or will this expire? The savings account generally should not be touched as it'll cost to take money out, so it's mostly for emergencies, accidents, and such. Do I absolutely have to pay pr fees now, as this is my first time requesting an extension, or no?

you don't have to pay any of the fees now, however paying at least 1 fee helps show your intentions of applying for sponsorship. if you're considering paying a fee, then you really only need to pay 1 of them, and the $75 sponsor fee is the cheapest. the payment is good until CIC applies it to your application. you'll have a receipt you need to print out and include in your application. it's fine to pay the fee in advance and have multiple receipts for your fees in your application. i paid the $75 sponsor fee at least 6 months before submitting my application, the applicant fee when i submitted the app, and the RPRF when it was requested. I had no issue with multiple fee payments.

CIC does not need to know your savings is for emergency only. showing them your savings will help them see you have enough money to support yourself while here as a visitor, regardless of how you plan to use it, so there's really no reason to not submit it as proof.

Okay. I think I will pay the 75$ fee first. Where can I pay this and how long will it take, as I need it ASAP? I tried looking online but they seem to require a background check to see if sponsor is eligible first. Or is that different? Regardless, I'm having difficulty with the cic website. Many of what I search is either moved or removed completely.
Edit: I do plan to submit this online. But so far online has done nothing but frustrate me. Should I just send this off by mail, even though Canada post has already lost 3 important mail of mine?

paying the fee online is instataneous. you don't need to go through the checklist for eligibility. it's quite simple. you click on the box that says "pay your fees" and choose the appropriate information in the boxes here's the link:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp

an easy way to get find this stuff is to google "spousal sponsorship CIC", and the appropriate page will pop up.

Alright! Thank you for being patient and helping me. So with two letters, one from himself stating he will support me and we plan to marry, a letter from his mother stating she provides accommodation, (do I need to provide her phone number, or just her name and signature is ok?) bank statements, bank statement showing assets (the savings money), and a pay slip is all I need and I will be set? Also, I think you may have missed my last edit about submitting the request via mail instead of online.

there's really no way to say 100% what decision cic will make with what you provide. all you can do is apply and see what happens.

you can submit online or by mail. it really doesn't matter either way, that's your choice to make. what matters most is that cic receives the application before your current visit runs out.
