extension of work permit

I guys I'm apply for an extension of my current work permit. As long as I pay the fees and send the application off before the end of my current work permeant I'm I considered on implied status until a decision is made? Or do they have to have actually receive my application before my current visa runs out?

Not all work permits qualify for implied status. So the answer depends on the kind of work permit you hold now.

I'm on a Open Work Permit, I just want to know about the applying. As long as I send it before my visa expires I'm good or does it have to have been revived by them?
