Slight change of plans. I went with my husband to get the medical exam yesterday, but the facility was not what we were expecting. It was in a large medical building in a department that dealt specifically with immigration medical (I had thought this was a normal clinic); they were rather cold and uncaring, the procedures were spread out in various rooms and even separate buildings and it didn't feel all that professional. He was so uncomfortable with the place that we got a refund before anything started, and realized there was a better clinic that does this literally a block away. So now he has a new appointment, but they couldn't fit him in until next Friday. They said it takes 1-3 days for them to get the results, then they send them to CIC.
So my question is this: is it okay if we get the paperwork sent in early next week (I'd still really like to get that in if possible) and have the medical results delivered to CIC a week later? I thought it was possible to send the medical results later (or when CIC requests them), but it says in the application checklist to include proof, and that it is to be done up front (this is the US instructions for outland):
12 PROOF OF MEDICAL EXAMINATION
Include for yourself and each of your family members, proof of completion of the upfront medical
examination from the Panel Physician.
This confuses me. If this isn't an issue, we can write in the included letter that we have scheduled the exam for that date, and that the results will be following shortly. Should we request any sort of additional proof from the clinic to include? I would think all I could get is proof of the scheduled appointment on letterhead or something. Thanks in advance for any info!
