Extension of "visitor record": do they mail me something?

Here's another non-genius question from me:

My 6-month "visitor record" visa is expiring on June 6th, and nearly a month ago I applied online to extend it.

So . . . will they mail me something, to let me know if it's been extended? Will I get a new, actual/physical visa? Just a letter? Anything?

How can I be sure?

yep, they will send you so called Canada visitor record IMM 1442 form with your data and expiry date.

Yep as long as you applied you are now immplied status till it arrives so your good till it comes as a renewal or refusal.
