Extension.

When you say her visitor visa is expiring August 30, 2020 - I'm assuming you mean this is when her allowed six month visit ends.

Thank you for your reply
the allowed 6 months will expire on August 10 and the expiry of her TRV in the passport will expire on August 30 ,2020

She should apply for an extension in July.

It is really early to say there are no flights in August. We are still in May. You should wait until July to apply for an extension and see what the situation is in the world.

don't worry
if your mother is inside Canada, She can ask for an extension of stay.
the visa expiration in not a problem, the visa is the requirement to let her in/fly to Canada (it is the key to enter to Canada)
once inside Canada she only need a valid status (don't let her status expire).
you could ask both, extension of stay and TVR for re-enter to Canada.
the only issue is to have a valid passport.

1. She can't apply for a new TRV in Canada, only an extension. She has to apply for TRV to an outside Canada office.

Hi! I was wondering if you could help me on this question, I have applied my 2nd extension last December 2019 and I’m also done with my biometrics but no decision from them still. That 2nd extension is about to expire this June, same with my visa. What do I need to do? Do I need to apply for an extension again before my status expires? Or wait for it and then restore my status? Or do I need to leave because my visitor visa is expiring this June as well. Thank you very much!

Your post makes no sense. You say your previous extension expires in June but also say you have no decision on your previous extension app. It can't be both. Either the extension was approved or is still in process.

That was the date I applied for, December-June on my 2nd extension. I haven’t received any decision from the immigration but when I emailed them they said it’s still in process.

If it's still in process, then you have Implied Status. The fact that you asked for June doesn't mean your status expires in June. You can't apply for another extension when the previous is still in process.

So I’ll just have to wait for the result? And apply for restoration if ever it came out past the given date? And should I be worried that my visa is expiring this June as well? I can’t go back home yet cause there’s a travel ban in our country.
