Extension of study permit

Hi guys. This forum is very helpful.

I am not from South Asia. But I see many people here who are from South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka etc..). I just want to say you guys have been very helpful and this is a good place for people to share information. We are all trying to come to Canada right?

My question is, my student permit has been granted for 3 years, what if I want to study a 5 years Bachelor program? Do you think CIC will approve my extension when I apply after 3 years? Anyone has any stories about your friends? Is the extension of your study permit easy?

extension is no issues inside canada as long as you have proven academic record and sufficient funds and satisfactory attendance in education institution

u must be spending a fortune on bachelors in Canada --

While applying for extension,do we have to show financial proof for the complete tuition fees(in my case another 1 yr course) + accommodation for 1 year (or) do they have a standard amount that we need to show for the purpose of extension?

proof of funds as applicable - as detailed in cic along with fees payable mode must be shown

u can support ur funds with a loan letter

Best way to show funds in your bank account.
Just scan the bank statement.
I applied for extension in Feb and showed $8700, when i need extension for 3 semester.

Just show anything around 10k

I'm sure you'll need more than $8700 for 3 semesters.Did you get an extension?
& by bank statement you mean a statement from your Canadian bank account right?
Can we show Indian bank account balance too,eg. Indian bank,Canara bnk....?
Also do we need to show that the amount has been credited at least 3 months prior to application?

2. Yes Canadian Bank account on your name.
3. Yes you can, But it is better to show Canadian Bank account to make it simple.
4. No need. The Bank statement states the current account in your account.
So nothing to do with previous months.

about pt 1, it's around $10,000 for tuition fees & accommodation (or) do we have to pay the tuition fees first & then show $10,000 separately for accommodation and personal expenses?

Depends on you.
Just show your total tuition fees. It will be more than enough.
If you can't show that much,
Just show 10k in your bank account.
If you pay your fees, then attach the receipt.

if we just take 1 yr course and get 1 yr work permit, what happens at end of the second year? do we have to return to our country?
