Hi all,
If I am currently in Canada on expired PR card status, can my parents (from visa exempt country) who are now physically visiting me in Canada request to extend their visitor visa from CIC? I'm aware that in order not to trigger any downstream effect such as checking of my PR residency obligation, I should not sponsor them for supervisa as my status will be thoroughly check at this stage, but will there be any implication if my parents are extending their visitor visa and in the process stating my name in their application form?
Alternatively, if they travel out to US for a week and return to Canada thereafter, will the border officer "reset" the 6 months stay allow for visitor? Or should they travel to elsewhere further such as Carribean?
Your advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks
