Extension of International Student Visa. PMM, BCGuy Help Please...

Hi all,

An international student studying in Canada for the past two years will be applying for extension for the next two years. Univ. Adm. offered.

How long it might take to get the extension if applied via e-service for students?

Hi,

I applied for the extension of my study permit in September and I only got it in January. I applied through to the (CPC) Case Processing Center in Vergeville. Two months after mailing the application without reply, I phoned the call center and was informed that the processsing was taking that long due to the number of applications that they had at that time of the year. It should take less time at this time of the semester.

Is it necessary to show money available in the bank at the time of renewal? Please reply

Yes, you will need to proof funds. You do not need to have all the money available in your accounts, but you will have to prove that even though you don't have all the money available, you have a stable source of income. For renewal of student visa, CIC usually requires the last 3 months bank statement of current or savings account.
