extension of canadian Permanent resident documents submission due date

Hi everyone,

I applied for canadian permanent resident (federal skilled type). Now my application is in final stage. Delhi office asked us to submit medical report and FBI report with in 45 days. I did medical,but FBI report is still in process, I heard it takes long time. I have no idea when i'll get FBI report and submit to Delhi high commission. my due date is next week. Does anybody know about the request of due date extension to delhi high commission?

Send them either an email or fax and state when you applied for FBI and that you are still waiting for the results and will forward them once they have arrived.

same thing happened to me with the accra office,they claimed to have sent my medical form on the 19th of Nov,2009,but after waiting on them for a whole month,got in touch with them and was given a fresh 60 day deadline from the date of the reply,it's not in your hands,out of your control,so u r not at fault,it's an institutional thing.the fact that you have done your medicals and probably have it sent by your DMP is enough evidecne you are interested in keeping the pace.chill man

Well I just made call to fbi office, they replied that they have not keep my application in their system yet and may takes 8 to 10 weeks to finalize. Oh! i am shocked with the reply. I send application through priority mail,so i don't have tracking no also. how to obtain proof that i have applied for fbi report and it takes further time.

I have the same problem... I received a mail from the Canadian embassy on March 22 2010 that my application has been approved. I applied for the police clearance certificate with the FBI the Local police and the Indian embassy on may 03 2010 as i was having difficulty finding a place to get my finger printing done for the FBI clearance in pittsburgh. I received the local police clearance certificate in USA with in 2 weeks, I called the FBI on Jun 18 and they say they dont have me in their system. it will take then several weeks more to see if i am in their system. Indian embassy in NY does not reply at all. I have tried to call them numerous times but the call goes on a vioce mail and have even left a lot of voice messages but still no response. I dont think any one even checks the voice messages at the indian embassy. I am not sure what to do. the Indian embassy website says it will take them 45 days. Unfortunately i sent the documents by priority mail so no tracking number. plus i had sent a money order so cannot even check if the money order has been cashed or not. I am not sure what to do.. please help me. Do you think i should apply for the Indian embassy again and send a cashier's check so that i can atleast see if they have withdrawn the money?
How do i apply for an extension and when do i apply for an extension of time at the canadian embassy. what happens if i do not get the documents even after the extension of time.. if the do documents from the indian embassy and FBI still no not reach.

chc will extend the time as long as u don't get police clearance. no need to worry about this.
