Hi, I am a Canadian living abroad, and sponsoring my German wife for the Permanent Residency. We intend to come back and live in Quebec. The PR application of my wife is proceeding as planned, I have the feeling we are in the last steps and she is now asked to provide the Certificat de Selection du Quebec (CSQ) and is given 30 days by the IRCC. The MIDI have a 25 BUSINESS days processing time on their website, which does not fit within the 30 CALENDAR days of the IRCC.
Questions:
Q1- Has anyone gotten an extension from the IRCC to get the CSQ? If so, how did you request it?
Q2- If we miss the 30-day deadline, will they really reject the PR application and we have to start from scratch/pay the PR fees again?

p.s. Looking back, I see that the CSQ should have been requested as soon as I was approved as sponsor, but the message from the IRCC in their letter was unclear for me, as they state "IF YOU ARE A RESIDENT OF THE PROVINCE OF QUEBEC", which I am currently not (I am currently a canadian living abroad). They should have maybe stated "If you are planning on becoming a Quebec resident, start the CSQ process". See below the wording in the Sponsorship approval letter from the IRCC:

application to the Provincial Government. To download the required forms, please consult the
