Hi I would like to extend my parents visiting period for 6 more months and planning to apply online. I want them here for better life together and to take care of my 15 month old baby as I am working. But I am confused if I can write this as a reason for extension in the immigration letter since some are suggesting that this reason could be denied. Please let me know if you or your friends came across this situation

Thanks

Yes, this might be denied. You are stating that they have no buisness in Canada but "live better" which is not something a genuine visitor would do. Also they could potentially be considering as illegally working, as they have een in Canada too long looking after their grandson.

Apply for a Supervisa, that would be a better way to go.

Although they would have to return to their home country to apply for a Supervisa and there is no guarantee they would get the full two years with one. How long have they been in Canada now?

Just an opinion, but with your current status I would expect IRCC to refuse an extension or it would be a limited stay. Visitors are not suppose to be living in Canada for extended stays. You can certainly try, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.
