Extending open work permit

Hi All,
Me and my wife have been living in Vancouver for last 4 years with me on a work permit and my wife on a study permit,our permits expire on Nov 30,2019.Now my wife will be done with her master's degree in the next 3 months and will be a graduate but she hasn't found a job yet,my question is what are the options to extend my open work permit ,I was told that in order to extend,wife needs a job wherein she can provide at atleast 2 pay slips which I have to include in my OWP extension,my question is if there are any other options to extend my OWP,for example I have a good job as technical support analyst,can I extend the OWP with the help of my company for example by providing an LMIA?


P.S I know I can apply for PR but I don't want to at this time.

Only other option would be your employer sponsoring you for a closed work permit. They would have to get an LMIA first.

Thanks for the reply,do you know by any chance how long this OWP will be valid for and who will be deciding about this,will it b my company?

It would be a closed work permit. Think it is the government. Your first step is to find out whether the company is willing to attempt to apply for a closed work permit for you and pay for it as well.
