extending Open Work Permit through NBPNP???

Hi, just get a new problem here. Hope someone can help me out.

I'm nominated by NB last year, and currently waiting for the final result of my immigration. However, my work permit will be expired in Sep. I don't think I can get PR before Sep, b/c Ottawa office is extremely slow since they get a lot of cases from the closed Buffalo office. I have two questions:

1. How can I extend my open work permit? Someone told me that I can require provincial immigration office to issue a letter of support for my work permit renewal. Is that true?
2. If I get the new work permit through this process, is it still an open work permit? Or it's limited by job occupation and geographic area - like New Brunswick Only.

I am an AINP nominee. For me, I submitted a copy of the AINP letter along with the online application.

It will just extend your current work permit. If it is an open work permit, I believe it allows you to work anywhere but I suggest you stay with your employer until you receive your PR status as you have agreed in your application to reside in NB.
