everyone is included and everyone has the PR Visa and COPR issued in November 2020. however . the issue is traveling ..my wife's(Primary applicant) sister is there thus my wife can apply for the extended family option to get the authorization letter...

The understanding I got from the above discussions is that only she can travel and once she is there we can travel as her immediate family.

Having young kids its difficult for us that she travels first (without the kids) and then after her getting the PR card we can travel .. so my question was do we have to wait for her to physically get the PR card(which can take a month) or can travel as soon as her landing is done ..hope this clears the confusion
Does she have authorization to travel or you are waiting? You are authorized to travel once she is a PR so you wait. Current processing times is 124 days.

Has anyone heard back? My partner is from the states and sent the forms in last week. It would be nice to know if others have received confirmation and how long it has taken.

I would really appreciate it and good luck everyone!

The whole process is so weird. When my sister called Air Canada they told her she needed to send an email to IRCC.COVID-TravelExemptions-Exemptionsdevoyage-COVID.IRCC@cic.gc.ca but she has an ETA, which says we have to send a webform.

Ok, did all the paperwork and sent via webform. Today she received an reply from IRCC with instructions on how to apply, like wth? we sent all the info and forms required, why did they replied with instructions on how to apply? Big loop.

I was hoping she could come for the holidays, but the system is so broken and weird. not putting my hopes too high.

My AOR is 27 January 2020 and still waiting for PPR and COPR. My Brother is Canadian Citizen so i will be Extended Family Member.

1.) Can i fill the Application for Authorization and Statutory Declaration (IMM 006) and ready with the document so as soon as i receive my COPR without wasting time i can apply for eTA or we have to wait for my COPR then only i can fill the 'IMM 006' form?

2.) My Wife is main applicant and i am dependent. As my brother is Canadian citizen, Do we have to fill separate 'IMM 006' Form (for myself and my wife) or only one form needs to be filled and notarized.

Thank you.

We have yet to see extended family members travel on COPR with authorization as it is not listed as a valid travel document. Officials don’t want COPR holders after March 18. They know you are moving permanently and not for a visit. You can try & apply. However your wife is not part of your brother‘s extended family so she can’t apply. She will have to wait.

Thank you for the information. As per the site the people who are getting PPR after March 18 can also travel if they are extended family member. They have not mentioned that only people before March 18 can can fill form. Every immidiate and extended can travel if they get eTA. That is why they have implemented this new policy.

So you aren’t travelling on your COPR? What site says extended family members can travel on COPR...only immediate family can. your wife is not an extended family member of your brother as per the guidelines.

I have not received copr yet and after receiving also i cannot due to travel restriction. But if i fill this extended family member form and raise webform to travel and request for eTA i can travel.

I am referring CIC site only. In that there is extended family you can refer.

You can travel if you have an ETA/visitor visa and written authorization but your wife cannot.

I called IRCC the agent to ask about my wife, agent mentioned that you have to fill seperate form. Thats why i have asked my query in my first question that do i have to fill seperate or single form, if anybody has different information.

Everyone has to fill out an authorization form but your wife is not extended family so will likely be refused.
