extend work permit

hi just want to ask if my employer done right about my application.she want me to stay to work with her but she just applied to extend my work permit,im worried because i thought i still need to sign a contract for her,my visa expired this coming january 20,2013.thanks a lot

She need to apply LMO to Service Canada. This LMO approval need to be attached when you apply for work permit extension either online or paper application.

but she dont apply the LMO.can i do that by my self?because she said she call the immigration already....can i ask an application for work permit or a kit so that i know what i need to submit?

If your work is LMO excempt then she or you can apply for work permit. You or she can apply thru online or in paper application. She can apply online if she know you personal details to fill up the form. If paper application, i think you need to signed the form. imo

thanks a lot... i was advice that i can used desame contract i just ask my employer to sign it again with date.is it true?

yes, you can use your same contract as long it is permanent job. I applied last september and used may same contract.

IMO, you may want to wait for your renew WP. You need WP inorder to apply for TRV. Renew WP takes 2.5 months(more or less) plus snail mail. You can take your chances and take your holiday now and come back before you work permit & TRV expires. It's up to you.

no i cant take my holiday now.my employer give me 5 weeks start february.

do you know when did she apply for WP? IMO, if you leave without status you cannot enter Canada. If you continue working after your WP expires you're implied status. hope your WP arrive soon so you can apply for TRV.

Help! here is my situation... I came to Canada to work as a live in caregiver in January 19, 2011. where i got my work permit that expired January 19, 2013.I didn't started working until February 1, 2011. Now i am planning to apply for PR i don't know if i should send in my papers January or February when i started working? i apply to extend my permit being that it expired January 19, 2013. what if January 19, 2013 pass and no permit should i stop working? and can i still send in my PR application February? please help me.

yup...last tuesday she apply my permit.so maybe i wait for the new wp to make sure.
