Hello everyone,
I would like to extend my visitor visa in Canada for another 6 months (hopefully) but I don't know if I should mention that I am living with my common law partner or not.
What you have to know:
I'm a french citizen and presently living in Canada for about 4 months.
My common law partner is a permanent resident (PR) in Canada. We were together for more than a year but in Belgium (outside Canada).
When you are a PR you have to be at least 2 full years within 5 years. Because of her studies in Belgium, she couldn't. She will be only 1.5 years.
I'm afraid that they check the duration of her stay if I mention her in my extend visitor visa.
What do you think? Should I extend my visitor visa as single or as common law partner?
Thank you
Aloys
