extend visitor visa (baby premature born canada 80k hospital bill)

hi, please i need some advice.

some know my history about me and my wife and my premature baby with the huge bill in the hospital (80k).

well I find work and i´m waiting for the LMO.

now the problem is my wife and I have visitor status to 10 december.

so we are thinking in apply for the extension of the visitor visa.

is better to apply for the extension of the visitor visa and write in the purpose: OTHER and REASON: baby born canada premature medical control.

or its better to go to the US border and come back again to canada?

Higher chance of being successful if you apply to extend within Canada. Going to the border is quite risky. You may not be allowed back in.

so for example if we go to the border with the baby (canadian citizen) and we need to return to canada because my baby still small and she is taking medical control and treatment they can refuse the entry?

one last question:

my employer apply the lmo 1 week ago.

I need to apply for the extension visitor visa? or can i wait for the lmo answer and then apply for the work permit?

Yes - you can certainly be refused entry.

If you don't have an approved LMIA by the end of November, you should apply to extend your visitor visa. Otherwise you will lose your status in Canada and will have to apply for a restoration of status in addition to the work permit once the LMIA is approved. You should avoid going out of status since this may make it more difficult to get an approved work permit.

Note that many LMIAs do seem to be taking several months to be approved. So it's entirely possible you won't hear anything by the start of December.

them me and my wife we are going to apply for the extension of the visitor visa this week because they says that you have to apply 30 days before your status expire.

its ok if I write in the purpose of my visit: OTHER and REASON: baby born canada premature medical control or better select TOURISM?

what do you recommend me?
