extend tourist visa (help)

If my aunt's canadian tourist visa will expire on June 8 2014, can I apply for an extension on april 2014 or should I need to wait a month before expiration? Pls help. Thank you

you can send in your application also earlier, CIC recommends to make a visa extension 30 days before the status expires, after that your aunt will have implied status until CIC made a decision.

What documents did your aunt need to submit for her tourist visa application please and what purpose of visit was used? Did she require an invitation letter?

Hello,

I gave her a notarized invitation letter stating the length of stay in canada, to show her around the country. In the letter, I also said that I will be the one to pay for her trip and extra expenses thjat will occur during her stay. And that she will stay on my home on the duration of her vacation. So I provide bank statements showing that i have enough savings for her.I also provide tax document and a proof that I work with my employer.
