Extend the Study Permit

Hi,

I am an international student, pursuing Masters degree at the University level; and am expecting to finish my thesis defence by Apr 25, 2015. However, my visa and study permit expire on Apr 11, 2015. After completing my studies, I am intending to get a job in Canada.
Here, I have a question regarding this: Do I need to extend both the visa as well as the study permit; or extension of study permit includes the extension of visa by itself?

if both ur visa and study permit are expiring then u first extend ur study permit and then u apply for new TRV( temporary resident visa) based on study permit. If ur not leaving canada its not mandatory to apply for TRV but it is always a good idea to have a TRV just in case u have to leave canada and come back. application to extend study permit does not include TRV so u have to apply for TRV separately.
