Dear All please help,

The visa office asks me to submit my medical exams and some other documents, I am now a PhD student and I pass one and half year over three years and I am doing very very well in my studies.

If I sent my documents and if they approved I will have a one year from my medical exams to do the landing and at that time I wont be done with my study, I was thinking to do the landing and then get back to do my PhD but this is mean more cost for 4 family members.

My Question is : can I asks to extend the deadline for my immigration visa. it is unfair to lost all that effort and money after I reach this point.

For God, please advice me I am so confused.

HA

No - unfortunately you cannot request an extension. If you want to become PRs, you and your family will have to come to Canada and land before the expiry dates on your visas.

What Scylla said. A COPR cannot be extended, period. If you let it expire, you have to start all over again from the beginning. It actually tells you this in the accompanying documents.

Go to Canada, land and immediately return. Yes, you will pay for the privilege but you have little choice. Sorry.

Sorry, but really there's no point in asking this question over and over. Unfortunately, you cannot extend your immigration visa.

You can play around with all the other variables, although it might be pretty costly, but the visa expiration date is a constant:

- land with your family and then return to finish your PhD
- continue your PhD in Canada
- discontinue your studies at home , land and see later which way you want to go
- give up your PhD aspirations entirely
- etc.

Honestly, it's not about whether it's fair or not. These are the rules of the game you agreed to, and by no means can you get your immigration visa extended.

Agreed with the above. You need to stop asking the same question over and over again. The answer isn't going to change. Time to make some tough decisions.
