I would like to help my husband to extend his V-1 Visitor visa. I am Canadian citizen. He comes to visit me.

Firstly, he should leave at middle of March when is approaching 6 months stay.

Yet he wants to prolong his stay for about 2 months from March to May.

I will apply for his extension visitor record. I saw the average processing time is 120 days and after successfully submitting application, he can benefit implied status.

My question is:
It is possible for him to leave Canada in May before getting the decision because the processing time is so long which is nearly 4 months.

He wants to come back to Canada this July.

Does this situation influence him to get through Custom again this July?

In addition, he didn't do physical exam when he was applying the visitor visa. After applying the extension, his stay would exceed six months. Does he need to do the physical exam in Canada? Thanks a lot!

Are you working in NOC 0, A or B? You should be applying for SOWP. At a certain point he will likely not be given an extension or not given a 6 month stay if he is living in Canada not just visiting.

Yes, he can leave while on Implied Status.

The fact that he is visiting for so long and returning so soon could definitely be an issue for CBSA.

He may be requested to do the medical.

I am canadian citizen. Sorry for the unclear description. Appreciate so much!

Does it influence the next visit during July?
