Extend PGWP using the new Turkish policy

Hi,

I am on PGWP and in the Express Entry pool with 471. My PGWP expires in November, 2024.

I was wondering if I would be eligible to benefit from the temporary measures taken in https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/earthquakes2023.html to extend my PGWP permit?

I am currently in Canada, working for a company in US since January26th, hired through a PEO in Canada. I'm in the pool, but I don't think I will be getting picked as the minimum points are really high. I believe this extension could save me.

I also applied for OWP under the same special measure TS2023- if you are in Canada (and you are) and holding a Turkish or a Syrian passport-then yes you are eligible to apply online till 25 Sept 2023.

On another note, how did you contact the PEO? I'm also interested in learning more about hiring through a PEO in Canada, any advice?

Hi Ayse, did you have a PGWP as well? When I go online the only option I see is for extending my visa not my work permit. Do you know anything about that? Does the work permit come with the visa or something?

About PEO: My company hires through PEO for the people that are working from Canada. I didnt have a direct communication with the PEO itself.
