I came to Canada to visit my Fiance and I only asked for 2 weeks.
I had bought a return ticket and everything but now I want to stay longer.
What should I do? I don't have the 30 days to apply to extend my stay.

In case it matters, my stamp has no exit date on it ie. it just says my date of entry.

I am a US citizen.

Thank you :)

I have good news for you... that black stamp you were given at the airport is good for 6 months.... no need to do anything if you will be staying no longer than that...
Merry Xmas!.

Merry Christmas to you too!

I had thought as much after a bit of thought but won't that be seen as "misrepresentation".
I know I only ment to stay 2 weeks but if I stay til May I worry the difference may cause me
problems when we apply for PR.

No, it won't be considered misrepresentation in any way... people change plans all the time, that's why those stamps (and also the kind your country gives to visitors too) are good for 6 months.. It becomes a problem when you overstay your 6-month stamp... Black stamps are the good ones (meaning you didn't have to go to secondary inspection).
I have changed plans and stayed longer (but under 6 months) several times and got PR last month, no interview needed.

You can also apply to extend your stay anytime while you still have valid status. They say 30 days before the end date of your valid status is preferred (I guess to allow more time for processing?), but I submitted an extension request once (online) with less than 30 days, and it was approved. You just need to submit the extension request before the date your time expires and have confirmation they receive your application while your status is still valid. Good luck!

Actually you can apply the day before your visa expires- it has to be at the post office by the expiry date and has to be sent with registered mail or xpresspost, so they can see the date you sent it even if they get it after the expiry. I did it with my extention on my work permit- mailed it on Friday, my permit expired on Sunday, they got it on Thuesday and it was fine.

So I can stay for up to six months without doing a thing and it will not affect my future PR application?

I do not wish to extend my stay past May 1st as my Fiancee and I will be coming to the States
for our wedding :)
