Currently I am working remotely in Canada for Canadian employer on 6 months contract basis.
My questions are:
Does contract work experience counts towards 1 year work experience eligibility for Express Entry?
Will this remote experience be eligible for CEC 1 year experience requirement?

If you are working in Canada, then yes it will count as long as you are an employee of the company (pay CPP/EI, T4) and not considered self-employed.
