Hello guys!

My girlfriend and I have interest to immigrate to Canada as common in law, under the Express Entry. So, we have a lot of doubts.
I am Brazilian and she is Chinese, we first met in 2013 while I was in an exchange program. So, we start the relationship in April '13 and I had to come back Brazil in April '14, during that time we lived most of times together, but I have no idea how to prove it (for the common in law application). She stayed in Canada, because she is willing to get her Bachelor degree here and I already get my bachelor degree in Brazil. Now we still together (Just completed 2 years, even with the distance ), and right now I am back to Canada to check my chances to do the process alone (and I am not getting all the points necessary to get nominated!).

So, what I could do to proof we are willing to immigrate here as common in law?

Thanks. ;D

I am a bit confused with your explanation. Do you physically live TOGETHER at the same address all the time?

Yes, at that time we had two different apartments (I had a sponsored apartment in the university and she leased one), but we always stayed together, except for the finals in the university ! But we didn't have any bank account together or any other bill that we made in our names together.

However, we have a lot of Canadian friends that know about our relationship and could write a letter of our situation. That could help or it is not enough?

You will need couple of proof to prove you are living together, plus a friend's reference letter to witness your relationship is genuine...!! Thats enough..!!

Proof:

you have been living together in a conjugal relationship for at least one year in a continuous 12-month period that was not interrupted. (You are allowed short absences for business travel or family reasons, however.)
You will need proof that you and your common-law partner have combined your affairs and set up a household together. This can be in the form of:

joint bank accounts or credit cards
joint ownership of a home
joint residential leases
joint rental receipts
joint utilities (electricity, gas, telephone)
joint management of household expenses
proof of joint purchases, especially for household items or
mail addressed to either person or both people at the same address.

I think for our case we don't have these proof, and we are more than a year living apart! So, I gonna try apply by myself and see what I can get!
:( :(

Thanks!!
