Hello Future Canadians, thought below list would be helpful for you guys which I posted earlier in January 2019 AOR group.
Below is the total list of documents and told my story to the VO so that, he can easily understand the documentations I have submitted. End of the day they will purely go by their CRS calculations but, It's our responsibility to make sure VO is clear with our Education, Employment if we have gaps. (Removed few personal details and replaced with XXX) The objective of my documentations was to make that Visa Officer's life easy/day easy Below was the Letter of Explanation I have submitted along with all my documents.

I VinayK would like to explain all the supporting documents I have furnished as part of each and every category in my Express Entry Profile. I have completed my education till Bachelor’s degree in India and moved to USA on December 28th, 2011. I have got US F1 Visa on University Of XXXX XXXXX initially, as I have got scholarship in XXXX University I have transferred out to XXXX University, Beaumont TX as soon as I reached US. After studying MS in General Chemistry for a semester in XXXXX University, I have made a decision to change my course to MS in Information Systems and Technologies at XXXX University, Delaware. Finally, I have graduated from XXXXX University on 26th January 2014. After my Master’s I have worked as a QA Analyst for around 2 years till March 2016 in USA. After which, I have repatriated to India and started preparing for highly competitive Civil Services Exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) aspiring to be a Civil Servant. Unfortunately, I couldn’t clear the exam after spending around 2 years. I have made a decision to restart my career as IT Professional as a QA Analyst in India in March 2018 and successfully continuing my career path in this direction from past 10 months at XXXXX.

However, my husband’a Ielts result will may my score down compared to the score if I applied one person come first.
What can I do?
If really need to apply my husband come with me , do he need to do ECA ?

I think you need to first calculate to see who gets better crs score for immigration, then one of you should apply as a main applicant depending on which of you gets the higher score.

I wonder if all CRS calculators out there gives the same result.

You need to go after the factors that gives the highest scores.

1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.

3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an Education Credential Assessment. Details here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC.

5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng

You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp

Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp

For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.

6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following:

a) Have your application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready

e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.

f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live.

I m in canada now n doing my master degree in civil engineering. I will done with my master in December-2019. Some of my friends say that if we prepare for IELTS and get band like 7877in SLRW (speaking, listening...) then we will have chance to get PR via express entry, Without any work experience here in canada or in our home country. Because we get CRS point of nearly 465 with this IELTS score and master degree of Canadian institute. So whats your opinion on that ? If there is a chance to get PR based on very good IELTS score (as I mentioned) then will really make my hard try to get that score. Please guide me. Thank you.

Your medicals are valid for 1 year from the date they were done. You have to land in Canada before the expiry date on your PR visa.

Hi all!
Post-ITA questions, so forgive me if wrong thread.

1. Travel history vs address history - I'm currently in the USA on F1 student visa (family on F2 visa). I listed the US both in my address history and in travel history. I didn't include the trip home in the end of the first year of school as a part of my travel history since it's my country of origin. Should I remove the US from travel history as well or is it fine?
2. Passport(s) - I saw totally different opinions here on the forum. Some say I should upload old passports as well since they're the proof of my travel history. Others say it's not needed and they received their PR without it. Official instructions say only about valid travel document, not the old passports.
3. Proof of legal presence in the US - NOT on the checklist. I was expecting them to ask me upload any proof of legal presence in the US, or form I-20 in my case. Especially since our F1/F2 visas were valid for 1 year only and are long expired. But it's not on my document checklist. Should I upload forms I-20 in the passport section anyway?
4. My daughter has her US F2 visa (expired) in her old passport (expired). Her current passport was issued this spring and has no stamps since we didn't travel. Should I upload her old passport?
5. Proof of name change (for spouse) - I guess marriage certificate will suffice as there is no other legal proof of name change in my country. Add LOE perhaps?

Your medicals are valid for 1 year from the date they were done. You have to land in Canada before the expiry date on your PR visa.

thank you @legalfalcon does this mean that, I can still travel till the visa expiry date in passport even if the medicals would expire by December ?

No, it's not mandatory for the work to be employer-employee. It can be self-employed as well. However it will need to meet the other criteria (paid, one year of experience, and NOC 0,A,B). If you meet these requirements and can provide documents to prove that you meet them, you can apply

I have been working full time for 2.5 yrs but as a freelancer.Am I eligible to apply as the primary applicant for Express Entry?Is it mandatory that the primary applicant should have an employee-employer experience? Hello everyone,

I'm based in Toronto (just completed my MBA here), and am seeking some advice on my EE profile.

1. I worked for 4 years prior to my MBA, but have been able to match only 2 years of my experience with a suitable NOC (2171). However, even by selecting 2 years of skilled work experience as opposed to 3+, my CRS is 483. Do I still have to match the rest of my experience with a NOC?

2. With regards to the experience matching with 2171, my company experience letter does not detail out all the required roles and responsibilities. But my manager (who does not work in the company anymore) is willing to provide me an additional reference letter (I plan to get a notary seal since he cannot use the company letterhead anymore). Will this work?

3. Do I need WES for my undergrad (from India), if I am showing my highest qualification as Canadian Masters degree?
